Information on transferring data or content from my older mobile phone using "Xperia Transfer 2"

IMPORTANT: This article applies only to specific products and/or operating systems. Check the Applicable Products and Categories section of this article before starting these steps.

For Xperia / Android phone on Android 6.0 or higher.

On June 30th 2023, the Xperia Transfer 2 service will stop, and the app will no longer be available for download via the Google Play Store.
The reason is that the Android Operating System itself can transfer data from older models when setting up your new Xperia smartphone, and the service has become redundant.
We recommend you update your phone to the latest available Android OS version (for that phone) to make use of the Android OS data transfer or Google Cloud services.

We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your kind understanding and cooperation.

For iPhones on iOS version 9.0 or higher.
