How can I use my Xperia as an external monitor of a camera?

Solution

You can connect the USB Video Class (UVC) compatible camera or camcorder to your Xperia via USB cable and launch the External monitor app.

NOTE: If your camera or camcorder is not compatible with UVC, but compatible with HDMI output, your camera or camcorder may be able to connect with using third party's HDMI-UVC converter^*1*2.
