Frequently Asked Questions about the Auto Play feature
This article shows frequently asked questions about Auto Play feature in the Sony | Sound Connect app.
Q. The audio device can't connect to Auto Play.A. Check the following:
- Make sure the smartphone's Bluetooth function is set to ON.
- Make sure the smartphone isn't connected to other audio devices.
- Make sure LE-xxxxx (model name) appears as a connected device in the smartphone's Bluetooth setting.
- If the audio device can't reconnect to Auto Play:
- Delete the LE-xxxxx (model name) from the list of connected devices in the smartphone's Bluetooth settings.
- Tap the usage scene or status section on the Auto Play home screen.
- Select Cancel device registration from Auto Play.
- Connect the audio device to Auto Play.
Notes:
- Make sure the audio device's software and the Sony | Sound Connect app are all updated to the latest version.
- The audio device can't connect to the app while its software is updating. Try the connection again after completing the update.
A. Check the following:
- Make sure the audio device is connected to the smartphone via Bluetooth. Check that LE-xxxxx (model name) is displayed as a connected device in the smartphone's Bluetooth setting.
- If you are using headphones:
- For LinkBuds, LinkBuds S, and LinkBuds UC only: If you use only one side of the headphones, wear the right side. The Auto Play feature can't be used if you are only wearing the left side.
- Make sure the time and place are properly set in the Time and place setting of each usage scene.
Note: The available settings menu may vary depending on the country or region.
- If you are using speakers:
- Make sure the time and day of the week are properly set in the Time setting of each usage scene.
- The Auto Play feature will not be started in the following situations:
- When you're talking with someone using the headphones
- When another Auto Play feature started within 5 minutes
- When silent mode is set to ON
A. Check the following:
- Make sure the desired mobile app is set to ON: On the Auto Play home screen, select Voice Cue → Spoken notifications.
Hint: Only apps that receive notifications when a compatible audio device is connected to Auto Play can be set in the Spoken notifications setting. - If multiple notifications are detected from the same app, only the latest notifications will be read.
- If you are using an iPhone or iPad: In the Bluetooth settings, select LE-xxxxx (model name) and check that Share System Notifications is set to ON.
