Notice regarding Digital Zoom Function of Telephoto Lens of Sony Smartphone “Xperia 1 VI”

We have recently identified an issue with the digital zoom function of the telephoto lens on Sony smartphone product, “Xperia 1 VI.” It has come to our attention that the actual zoom capability does not match the magnification displayed on the device screen, particularly when zooming from 7.1x to approximately 21x. We have confirmed that this issue does not occur when using the optical zoom function available up to 7.1x.​

We plan to fix this issue through a software update.​

The software update is released on 5th June 2024. ​
