By joining My Sony “Sonnion Program” (“Sonnion Program”), continuing to earn the Sonnion points (“Points”) and redeem for premium rewards or members’ benefits (“Members’ Benefits”) provided by Sony Corporation of Hong Kong Limited (“Sony HK”), it means that you agree to the following terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”):

  1. 1. Sonnion Program under My Sony Members (“Members”) is personal to the registered Member only. The Points and Members’ Benefits under the Sonnion Program are non-transferrable.
  2. 2. Each person is entitled to one My Sony membership only
  3. 3. To verify My Sony membership, Members may be required to present identity document for verification. No physical or electronic card will be issued by Sony HK.
  4. 4. Points can be earned by any spending at Sony Stores in Hong Kong, Sony Store, Online (Hong Kong) and Sony’s Tele-Sales Hotline or any subscription of warranty services, sign up for roadshow and any other ways that may be published by Sony Hong Kong from time to time. The Points offer may be changed from time to time without further notice to you. Points cannot be earned from other unofficial sales channels, purchase of Premium Services, purchase from online bidding and Sony Studio.   5. 5. The Members’ Benefits under Sonnion Program cannot be used in conjunction with other promotional offers.
  6. 6. My Sony ID (Email/Phone no.) must be presented at point of purchase for Points earning and redemption of Members’ Benefits. Member may need to be verified identity by documents. Member can login in https://www.sony.com.hk/rewards/home/en to check their Points and redemption record under the Sonnion Program.
  7. 7. In any circumstances, if there is any dispute between you and Sony HK, Sony HK shall have final and absolute discretion.
  8. 8. Once redemption of Points or Members’ Benefit has been confirmed by computer system, no cancellation or change can be accepted.
  9. 9. If there is any abuse or misuse of Sonnion Program, Sony HK shall have the final and absolute discretion including but not limited to termination or suspension of membership. All Points earned and Members’ Benefits may be forfeited without further notice.
  10. 10. Though Sony HK will pay reasonable efforts to notify Members of any material change of the Terms and Conditions, Members must visit https://www.sony.com.hk/rewards/home/en to read and understand the latest version of Terms and Conditions. Sony HK may change the Terms and Conditions from time to time without further notice to Members. Sony HK will not be liable for any loss or damages resulting from any amendment to the Terms and Conditions.
  11. 11. If there is any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions of these Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail.

Terms and Conditions for Sonnion Program Members’ Tier

Members’ Tier

  1. 1. There are total four Member Tiers in Sonnion Program, they are Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. The Points earning factor upon spending in Sony Store and Sony Store, Online vary among tiers, for Bronze and Silver as 1x, while for Gold is 1.5x and Platinum is 2x respectively.
  2. 2. The Member Tier for current My Sony member will be based on the past spending in Sony Store or Sony Store, online.
  3. 3. Member Tier will be expired after 12 months upon the member tier join date unless they earn enough point to keep or upgrade the tier before the expiry date. Please find the details as below:

Members’ Tier Evaluation (Upgrade)

  1. 1. Tier evaluation will be based on the Points earned from the past 12 months. The validity period of members’ tier is 12 months. Member can be upgraded to the next tier if Points requirement of the next upper tier is fulfilled before tier expiry. All upgrades will take effect on the next day upon the requirement is fulfilled. Points requirements are set as below:

  3. 2. After tier upgrade, another 12 months of member tier period will be entitled counting a new tier start date.
  4. 3. Multiple tier upgrades are not allowed, Member can only upgrade to the next upper tier at a time despite the spending reached up to the highest tier level. For example, you are a Bronze tier. You spent HK$100,000 in a single transaction, you will be upgraded to Silver tier.

Members’ Tier Evaluation (Keep or Downgrade)

  1. 1. Once you attain the minimum required points to remain at your current Member Tier before Tier expiry day, Member can stay at their current tier and another 12 months of member tier period will be entitled.
  2. 2. If Member cannot attain the minimum points required to attain or upgrade from their current tier before tier expiry date, Member Tier and the corresponding member entitlements will be downgraded. The minimum point requirements to attain each current tier are listed below:
    1. a. Bronze: No minimum point requirement
    2. b. Silver: 20,000 Sonnion Points
    3. c. Gold: 50,000 Sonnion Points
    4. d. Platinum: 100,000 Sonnion Points
  3. 3. After tier downgrade, another 12 months of member tier period will be entitled with an updated tier start date until the next tier evaluation before tier expiry.

Terms and Conditions for Sonnion Points


General

  1. 1. All Points will be expired and reset to zero on 31st Mar, at 11:59pm each year, except Points earned within 17th – 31st Mar (both dates inclusive), the expiry date will be extended to 15th Apr of the same year.
  2. 2. Points are personal to the registered Members only and cannot be transferred to other members.
  3. 3. Under any circumstances, Points obtained by improper channels shall be forfeited at the sole and absolute discretion of Sony HK.
  4. 4. Members can check the Points balance at any time through their My Sony Members’ accounts.
  5. 5. Member should retain the original of the invoice and receipt of purchase record for future verification by Sony HK, if necessary. If the proof of purchase cannot be shown upon the request by Sony HK , Sony HK reserves the rights to cancel any Points earned and to recover the equivalent value of any promotional item which has already been redeemedd.
  6. 6. Sony HK reserves the rights to determine the Points offer, usage and validity and to make relevant adjustments at its sole and absolute discretion without prior notice.
  7. 7. In case of any lost of Points arising from dishonest of any third parties or crimes, Sony HK shall not accept any liability and will not credit the lost Points to the Members. Members are required to keep confidential of their personal identifiers, login ID or password.
  8. 8. Sony HK may from time to time change the redemption products, services and Members’ Benefits in its sole and absolute discretion. It is the sole responsibility of Members to refer the specific terms and conditions for the redemption.

Earning


Members can earn Points from the following regular activities: Change of Points earning methods will be updated from time to time. Please refer to this for timely Points earning activities at www.sony.com.hk/rewards/home/en.

A. Spending in Sony Store

  1. 1. Members can earn Points by spending in Sony Store in Hong Kong, Sony Store, Online (Hong Kong) and Sony’s Tele-Sales Hotline. Other sales channels are excluded. Points do not apply to Premium Services. Premium Services means support and repairing services including warranty service provided by Sony HK.
  2. 2. For purchase made at Sony Stores Hong Kong, Members need to quote their My Sony ID (Email/ Mobile no.) to staff during payment for verification.
  3. 3. For purchase made at Sony Store, Online (Hong Kong), Members only need to login with their My Sony account at check out.
  4. 4. Some products are exempted from Points earning. SEL400F28GM is excluded from points earning and product exclusion will be updated from time to time. Please check with us for enquiry.
  5. 5. Any Points accrual request after the point of purchase will not be accepted.
  6. 6. Members can earn 1 Point for every HK$1 spent on Sony products exclude PlayStation® items, Premium Services, Online bidding and Sony Studio.
  7. 7. For PlayStation® items, Members can earn 1 Point for every HK$3 spending, all Points earned will be rounded up. For example, for purchasing a PlayStation® item with HK$1,000, 334 Points will be credited to Members’ account.
  8. 8. Points earning calculation will base on the net amount on invoice. Any coupon, e-cash or My Sony Dollar will be subtracted before calculation.
  9. 9. For any invoice containing multiple items while e-cash/My Sony Dollar is applied, the e-cash/My Sony Dollar value will be subtracted in ratio based on the original product price instead of evenly subtracted before Points calculation.
  10. 10. For any invoice containing package price, the Point calculation will be based on the product with higher price. For example, for a package of $10,000 containing a TV (SRP: $7,000) and PS4TM (SRP: $4,000), 10,000 Points will be earned.
  11. 11. Gold members are entitled to earn 1.5X Points while Platinum members are entitled to earn 2X Points upon spending.
  12. 12. Points will be credited to customer’s account the next day after pick up or delivery the product (as the case may be)
  13. 13. Order refund is not allowed once the Points earned by the order is being consumed for redemption.
  14. 14. In case any order refund, the corresponding Points will be void accordingly.

B. Warranty Registration

  1. 1. Members can earn 3,000 Points by successfully registration for warranty services of Sony products except PlayStation® and Radio products, headphones and specified items.
  2. 2. Points will be credited to Member’s account the next day after registration confirmation.
  3. 3. Members are required to register warranty within 24 months from picking up the product in order to earn Points. For registration which over 24 months, Members can still register warranty but no Points will be given.
  4. 4. Each Sony Product can only have 1 warranty record, Points will only be given for the first warranty record of each Sony product, any attempt of 2nd time warranty registration will not earn Points.
  5. 5. Member can only register warranty on the same product model for 3 times maximum. When the product model has reached the maximum warranty registration limit, member can keep the shopping receipt for warranty service.
  6. 6. Member can register product warranty for 5 times maximum each day. To register warranty for other products, please wait and try the other day.
  7. 7. In case any product returned and warranty void, the corresponding Points earned will be forfeited accordingly.
  8. 8. Each Member can earn Points from a maximum of 30 warranty registration records each year (1st Apr – 31st Mar the following year). No Points will be rewarded from any warranty registration onwards while product warranty service will not be affected.

C. New Member registration

  1. 1. All newly registered Members can earn 1,000 Points upon successful registration and subscribe My Sony on or after 24th September, 2018. Sony will base on My Sony ID record for verification.
  2. 2. Points will be credited to Members’ account within the same day of successful member registration.

D. First time Purchase at Sony Stores

  1. 1. Members can earn extra 3,000 Points for their first purchase at Sony Stores in Hong Kong, Sony Store, Online and Tele-Sales Hotline on or after 24th September, 2018. Sony HK will base on Member’s My Sony ID record for verification.
  2. 2. Points will be credited to Members’ account within the next day of successful member registration.

Redemption

  1. 1. The right to redemption is personal to the Members only and Points cannot be transferred to other members.
  2. 2. Points can be used to redeem My Sony Dollar, Premium Rewards, Services or Workshop reservation when Members log in to the Sonnion webpage.
  3. 3. Once redemption of Points and/or Members’ Benefits have been confirmed, no cancellation or change can be accepted.
  4. 4. Members should show the system generated QR code to use the redeemed benefits / items in selected Sony Store / Sony Store, Online (HK). Members should protect the QR code by not showing to any other people. Sony HK is not responsible to any loss of Members due to improper handling of the QR codes.
  5. 5. The Premium is manufactured by third parties not related to Sony HK. Sony HK does not guarantee the performance and the quality of the Premium nor do we warrant any compliance with Trade Description Ordinance in Hong Kong. Sony Hong Kong does not accept any liability arising from using or in connection with the Premium and disclaim all liabilities arising therefrom.

A. My Sony Dollar

  1. I. My Sony Dollar is personal to the Members and can only be used for purchase on Sony Store or Sony Store, Online with the spending not less than or equal to the value of the My Sony Dollar.
  2. II. My Sony Dollar can only be used by Members only and cannot be transferred to others for usage.
  3. III. My Sony Dollar can only be used for one time and cannot be re-used even if the transaction is cancelled or refunded for whatever reasons.
  4. IV. Each transaction can use one My Sony Dollar. No combined use of My Sony Dollar is allowed.
  5. V. In case of return of any products purchased with My Sony Dollar, the amount refunded shall be the purchase amount after subtracting the My Sony Dollar value.
  6. VI. My Sony Dollar coupon will be expired in 1 month after redemption. Points will not be returned after the expiration of the My Sony Dollar.

B. Premium

  1. I. Members will receive a Redemption QR code after successful redemption.
  2. II. Members are required to present the QR code as well as My Sony ID, Email or Mobile no. in Sony Store to pick up the Premium.
  3. III. Redemption QR code will be expired in 1 month after redemption. Points will not be returned after expiration of the Redemption QR code.

C. Services

  1. I. Members will receive a Redemption QR Code or digital service coupon after successful redemption (depends on the nature of service).
  2. II. Members are required to present the Redemption QR code or coupon in Sony Hong Kong’s customer service center to entitle the services with discounted price.
  3. III. Service coupon will be expired in 1 month after redemption. Points will not be returned after expiration of the service coupon.
  4. IV. Service coupon can only be used for 1) Repair Service; and b) Sony Product Extended Warranty Scheme. Please study the details in Sonnion webpage before coupon redemption.
  5. V. In subscription of the services, you may also be required to agree to the services terms and conditions for such Services

D. Workshop

  1. I. Members will receive a workshop QR code after successful redemption.
  2. II. Members are required to present the QR code and My Sony ID in the workshop for verification.
  3. III. Redemption QR code will be expired in 1 month after redemption. Points will not be returned after expiration of the Redemption QR code.

Terms and Conditions for Members’ Benefits

  1. 1. Members’ Benefits is personal to the registered Members and are not transferrable.
  2. 2. The Members’ Benefits are according to the tier level, Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum.
  3. 3. All Members’ Benefits must be redeemed before its expiry. They cannot be carried forward to next year.
