Smartphone entertainment at its best

Drawing on Sony's unrivalled expertise both in motion pictures and the music industry, the Xperia 1 V delivers an exceptional entertainment experience, whether you're watching a movie or listening to your favourite sounds.

Immerse yourself in a 4K HDR OLED 120Hz refresh rate display

With its 4K HDR OLED 120Hz Refresh rate display and no notches to interrupt your view on the 6.5" 21:9 Wide screen, the Xperia 1 V lets you lose yourself in movies and TV. Using BRAVIA HDR remaster technology, the X1™ for mobile engine lets you enjoy more contrast, colour and clarity, even on streaming content.

Real-time HDR adjustment for better images in any environment

Real-time HDR drive reproduces the gradation of overexposed and underexposed areas and displays them smoothly. It also improves visibility by increasing contrast according to your environment. It now supports both HDR10 and HLG, covering more streaming services, and HDR videos captured by the Xperia 1 V.

Professional level colour reproduction

Experience unprecedented colour accuracy with Creator mode "powered by CineAlta". It references the colour reproduction of Sony professional colour monitors used in leading Hollywood studio productions. So you can enjoy your favourite entertainment exactly as its creators intended. To avoid colour tint on the display, each Xperia 1 V goes through a special white balance calibration at the factory to satisfy the demands of professionals.

The D65 white point has been specially calibrated for higher accuracy and the display also supports professional level reproduction standards, with wide colour space ITU-R BT.2020, as well as DCI-P3 with Illuminant D65.

Get more from your music

Featuring improved hardware and supporting an array of premium audio technologies, the Xperia 1 V gives all your music the sound quality it deserves, through the speakers, wired or wireless.

Clear, powerful sound from the built-in stereo speakers

The Xperia 1 V's advanced high-power speaker amplifier improves the breadth and depth of sound, as well as the extension of low and high frequencies, realising more dynamic and clear sound. So you can enjoy movies and music without the need for dedicated external speakers.

3.5mm audio jack for that wired listening experience

Engineered using high-grade materials and electronic components, the Xperia 1 V's 3.5mm audio jack lets you enjoy the high fidelity sound quality that only wired headphones can provide.

High sound quality and stable connection, even wirelessly

By combining Sony's wireless headphones with the Xperia 1 V, you can enjoy high quality sound, even wirelessly. In situations where connectivity is likely to become unstable, such as crowds, it temporarily lowers the amount of data and prioritises connectivity, ensuring both high sound quality and less interruption.
