Excellent sounding once burn in period achieved

Mid Range smooths out with more warm sound signature. Once you have allowed for burn in (in my case about 200hrs with the ZX507 with the 4.4mm Balanced port), they sound exceptional with the MDR-Z1R.

I have used this with my ZX300 and Yes!4.4mm balanced connection is the future and no return for me to the single-ended connection.Sony cable has made the music so enjoyable and best value!
