I brought this video camera a month ago. It is light weighted and easy to operate. It is good to take it to travel.

Talking my HDR-AS50R to Philippines, to film family, Beach and snorkeling. Only wish Sony had better prices on their batteries and chargers. A better selection of headgear for head mount would be appreciated. Great video camera. Waterproof!! Sound with waterproof case is next to none. YouTube has plenty of reviews and helps with sound fixes with the waterproof housing. . Thank you Sony.

just bought it, it's great if you're get free additional battery and mini tripod. But at original price is a bit pricey to be honest.

This is an Action Camera that is well made, protective case is better then most Action cams. The best thing about this HDR-AS50R is the Anti-Shake when recording, it's superb and the separated display. The biggest drawback about the HDR-AS50R is the battery life and it always displays 38 minutes where as the older models like the AS200 has a 2 hour lifespan and the second drawbacks are the lack of accessories compared to the box shape Action Cams.

I bought this three ago I still think Sony to have more accessories for this camera mounting.
